Welcome to Contra Costa Building and Construction Trade Council.

The Contra Costa Building and Construction Trades Council is also known as the Building Trades, the BTC, and the CCBCTC.  We are a 501(C)(3)non-profit organization. and the main objective of our Council is to improve , enhance, and enrich the lives of our working men and women.  We accomplish this by continuing to expand construction workforce opportunities via world class training, labor agreements, and strong working relationships with our signatory contractors

CCBCTC is a California affiliate of the North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU). The CCBCTC has 26 affiliated unions from 24 different skilled and trained construction craft unions, and 26 affiliated Joint Apprenticeship Training Committees (JATCs) that are responsible for training apprentices and providing journey-level upgrade training.

CCCBCTC represents 35,000 construction workers throughout Contra Costa County which includes journey-level workers and apprentices.  The Contra C Building Trades workforce is a very diverse workforce.  Approximately 65% of our members are men and women of color and indigenous people. Nationally the Building Trades spends over two billion dollars in apprentice and journey-level training.

The CCBCTC also supports and assists veterans becoming members of the Building Trades through its nationally acclaimed Helmets to Hardhats program.

Contra Costa Building and Construction Trades Council was established in November 15, 1909.
